I DO NOT WANT TO LIVE IN YOUR RISK FREE WORLD.
I was an aircrewman in the Navy and made several emergency landings and even crashed.
I was an aggressive and adventurous slolom water skiir and had mishaps that should have killed or injured me for life.
Most of the father's of the girls I dated in HS didn't think I'd make it to 25 & yet 43 years later here I am, still taking risks and having adventures. I wish I had a nickle for each of them: I'd be wealthy.
I went to Idaho to fight forest fires and live in a lookout tower
And I went down on "Deep 'El(a)m'" in Dallas by myself to bars to meet friends of mine of color.
Now, YOU have taken away my public smoking priviledges, (ok, fine, I respect your wish not to be injured by my behavior, fair enough, but you don't need to be such an asshole about it.)
YOU have made the cost of MY tobacco totally unreasonable. Why did you do that? YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME.
You have raised the cost of EVERYTHING. Cars, car seats, cribs, sports equipment, guns, food, flying, airplanes.
What are you THINKING?
You hate a president and congress that comes up with the "Patriot act", and yet YOU elected who expanded it's meaning and ability to infringe on ALL OF OUR CIVIL RIGHTS, YOURS AND MINE, NOT JUST MINE.
YOU whine about the high cost of electricity and yet use it to run your yogurt maker, electric car, hair dryer, etc. Why is it so difficult for you to see beyond the end of your nose?
I live in Appalachia but I don't see you down here starting businesses so my fellow citizens can work and have an alternative to drugs and alcohol. I don't see you coming to our beautiful area to spend your money and stay in our motels. Your not here teaching in our schools to help our young people. YOU don't have to go to Africa or Haiti to find people to help, come to Appalachia. We've got plenty of "Do Gooder" work right here and you don't need a passport to come.
I DO NOT HATE your ideals, or your desire for a better kinder and more gentle world. You just talk more than you do.
