Before reading this you should look up the word "obfuscate" .
Calling the ACA is a type of Obfuscation. It emotionally charges the acronym. AND the title of the act is also an obfuscation in that that is NOT really what the act is about.
I'm not going to try and explain the act to you. There is plenty of accurate information in the web you can view to do that.
My concern for all of us is the particular "hidden" ad-on amendments and little provisions that are included in it.
I tried to read the damn thing and find them and it was almost impossible, because the folks to craft these things are "onto" the normal readers intent to find these things and believe me they are well hidden in the text, footnotes, and "by reference" entries.
Believe me, they are there, and have absolutely nothing to do with health care and it's costs.
So, before you take sides on this issue, do your due diligence and research, and get some real information for yourself.
I'm not against "universal health care" or government supported health care per se. The devil is in the details.
Perhaps a committee comprised of both liberal and conservative and non-partisan think tank members should formulate a draft.
Regardless, the current ACA is NOT (in my humble opinion) a good act.
