What is OUR Responsibility with the Big Bank Issue?

Our responsibility is OUR use of our CREDIT !!!  Why?

Here it is stated as simply and directly as my research will allow.

Every dollar we owe a bank is counted as a bank ASSET !!

What does that mean and why is it important?

A banking rule allows a bank to "loan out" 9 times it's assets to borrowers, ie. you and me!  Sooooo, if I deposit $100 in a bank, THEY can loan YOU $900.  Which they then can count as an ASSET !!  One of the links below explains this in perfectly accurate, if somewhat less plain, language (1).

I'm NOT saying don't buy things on credit or don't use your credit card.

All I'm saying is that we need to recognize our own culpability in ENABLING banks to have the resources to make crazy deals.

The world is a complicated and complex place but the more we know the more equipped we are to effect the kind of change we want.
